Stephan: “My professional ambitions really began to take shape at Limex.”
In the past year, Stephan Hendriks was involved as a freelancer in several major machine construction projects. As an engineer, he built and tested complete machines from start to finish. On 23 December 2022, Stephan worked his last day at Limex. For now at least. We’re certainly going to miss his energy, eagerness to learn and hands-on approach. Looking back on his time here, Stephan is equally positive:
“It’s difficult to say what I enjoyed the most, as everything was fun. If I had to choose one thing from my time at Limex, it would be that the interest I developed in the electrical part of the machines. This was a fantastic challenge, and my professional ambitions really began to take shape at Limex. Building complete machines was also a highlight. It’s a great job for an engineer; the work is so varied you never get bored, plus you get to visit customers. Including customers abroad!”
When asked what he is most proud of, he answers: “Being given the opportunity to take a leadership role in the workshop. I supervised the development process of four machines for a single customer. For a freelancer who started as a mechanical engineer and worked his way up to a leadership role in the workshop… That’s fantastic. I’m extremely grateful that I was given the time and space to develop as a professional.”
“During the past year, Limex gave me the opportunity to invest time in acquiring specialist knowledge. My original plan was to work temporarily at Limex. However, due to the loss of two experienced workers, I decided to stick around. This was a good solution for everyone, as I still had plenty to learn and could help them out. If they need any help in the future, they can always contact me!” An offer to good to refuse. We asked Stephan to work on a new project which starts in the spring. His response was a resounding ‘yes’!
To conclude, he adds: “Limex is a family company, as can be seen in the way we treat each other. We’re all equal, and work together to deliver the best results. We really help each other in our professional development.”
Thanks for your kind words Stephan!
