Never before were so many containers washed in Venlo in one year and the job of washing the containers in Venlo went to Limex Machine Exploitatie BV. Limex washed 11 percent more containers than in 2008. This increase was due to the fact that in the last year Venlo handled more volume and sold more flowers in returnable containers. As well as this, there were more trade activities with customers of FloraHolland Venlo leading to extra container washing. This year a lift was put in place offering the carts with packaging material at eye level to provide a good supply of containers to the washing plant. FloraHolland Venlo has been working with Limex Machine Exploitatie BV since 2000. Since that time Limex has been washing the flower boxes, initially on the old equipment of FloraHolland Venlo itself and on its own machines since 2001.
About Limex
Limex has been developing and producing machines and equipment since 1990 for washing boxes, crates and trays. The company's origins go back to the agri-sector and horticulture, and it is now also working in food and non-food markets (including automotive companies) that use reusable packaging. Limex sells and rents the machines.
